 Point out the different examples antivirus software.

 Each group will present their output.

 Which of those you are familiar with?
 What do you think is the reason behind why your anti-virus didn’t work?

b. Abstraction (10 minutes)

The teacher will partially introduce antivirus software.

Antivirus software is a class of program that searches a hard drive and floppy disk for any
known or potential viruses.
Examples of Antivirus software:

 AVG : provides you with basic antivirus and antispyware protection for Windows and ranks well in
both protection (98.9 percent) and system resource usage.
 Mcafee Virus Scan: It is a leading brand name when it comes to antivirus software. It offers easy
and quick download. Designed for home and office use.
 Kaspersky Antivirus: includes important anti-virus software functions such as real-time email, file
and web scanning, as well as the ability to remove spyware .Updates itself in an hourly manner.
 Panda Antivirus: Download and install process is smooth and fast. Software comes with a virus and
spyware protection. Allows you to block, delete, clean, and quarantine infected files and does not
slow your pc down during virus scans which is helpful to those constantly on your PC.
 Norton Antivirus: Well-known antivirus software, use for protection against spyware, worms and
viruses.
 Bit Defender: Easy to install and download processes, Real-time protection from spyware, malware
and viruses, automatic hourly updates, Minimal use of system resources, Anti-phishing tools.

Same groups but then the rule is one correct answer is allowed in each group in every number. If
they’ve answer wrong the other group will be given a chance.
