My name is Taylor Edwards, and I am writing to you to be considered for a full-time
teaching position in your school district. I am a recent graduate from Dakota State University. I majored in Secondary Math Education with a minor in K-12 Classroom Technology and I am planning on pursuing my masters in Educational Technology. I would like to coach either middle or high school basketball or football. I am ready to use the skills I have learned and apply them to the classroom. My teaching philosophy, skills, and experiences have prepared to me to be a great addition to your school district. I excel in Math content knowledge, especially when it comes to algebra. I have strengths in leadership and organization, and am very passionate about my students succeeding. My undergraduate and graduate coursework at DSU has equipped me with many skills that I can share with students to provide them with lifelong learning skills they can use in their future. I want to provide them with a great understanding of mathematics that they will use for years to come. I am also interested in taking on a coaching position in basketball, football, or any other extracurricular activities you need help with. I would be thrilled to discuss more about your open teaching position and learn more about your districts missions and how I can best serve as part of your educational team. I would like to thank you for considering me as a teacher for your school district. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
