INTRODUCTION
Mapulot National High School is together with DepEd in realizing
learners full potential and holistic development. It is situated at
Brgy. Mapulot Tagkawayan, Quezon the boundary of Southern
Luzon and Camarines Norte, catering the educational needs of the
barangay and the surrounding community. It offers junior high
school and senior high school, with 285 JHS and 105 SHS,
accumulating a total population of 390 for the SY. 2022-2023. The
school is under the supervision of visionary school head, Mrs. Teresita
R. Hurtado, Head Teacher II, together with her high caliber 16
teachers.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The school wellness program primary


aims to uplift the lifestyle of the
school’s community particularly the
students for a sustainable, safe and
healthy place to live in. This can be
achieve by practicing the 7 healthy
habits. For we believe that change
must starts within ourselves.

Practicing waste segregation is also observed in our


school. There is a separate bins for biodegradable,
non biodegradable and recyclables. Biodegradables
are collected and is place in vermicomposting to
serve as fertilizer used in Gulayan sa Paaralan.

As an advocate
in reducing

GSP were able
to showcase
their creativity
in making attire
out of recycled
materials.

of Mapulot NHS together with their troop
leaders and investing officer conducted tree
planting activity last October 22,2022
Involvement of
Stakeholders
The LGU of Tagkawayan donated 5-faucet lavatory in
support to the school’s advocate on practicing regular
handwashing. On the other hand, BLGU donated zinc roof
while parents and other stakeholders donated cash and
materials for the construction of toilets for Grade 7.

AND
RECOMMENDATION
Conclusion

The implementation of school wellness program


brought positive impacts on students, teachers
and the community. Students were able to realize
the importance of active lifestyle alongside with
taking care of the planet. However, it requires
strong collaboration and sustained partnership
with parents and community.
Recommendation

Based on the result of the on-going


implementation of the school wellness
program, it is recommended that the
best practices must be continue to
implement and strengthen those
activities that are needed the most.
