Company Overview:
Fire Up Donuts was created in July of 2020 by four CMU alumni. The four owners were stuck at
home during the COVID-19 pandemic when they started baking and selling donuts, creating
Fire Up Donuts. The 12-employee company is devoted to serving the Central Michigan
University and Mt. Pleasant, Mich. community. More information on next page.
▪ The CMU Student Food Pantry works to alleviate the challenges and
hardships of food insecurity that about 1 in 3 CMU students encounter
during their academic career.
Fire Up Donuts is looking for a PR agency to help them raise awareness and generate
sales on CMU campus. Your firm is invited to our PR agency pitch. You are given a set
amount of time to develop a social media plan. At the end of the time, your firm will
present your plan to the client.
• Campaign Requirements:
o Create a social media plan to promote Fire Up Donuts on CMU campus. The
social plan is for Jan. 1 – Jan. 31. You also need to decide the frequency of the
posts per week.
▪ For each post, you just need to provide key words/concepts for the posts.
You do NOT need to create the entire content or caption. Utilize the
material and information you are given and your knowledge and
experience as a CMU student when creating this plan.
o You must include the following in your social media plan; however you are not
limited to these requirements.
