The diagram illustrates the distinct stages of raw potato go through to turn into edible chips.

Overall, the process comprised of 8 stages starting from checking potato quality to the packing
stage where they are produced in two main ways, one in bag and the other one in can.

At the very beginning, the quality of the potatoes is checked and the washer then filters out the
dirt by rinsing with cold water. Following this, the peeler peels off the potatoes and get rid of
the skins and starch. After that stage, potatoes slices, which were moved to the slicer by the
bucket conveyor, were sliced and then airdried on another conveyer.

Once the potato slices get into the deep fryer, they are cooked and salted on the flat belt
conveyor. Eventually, the chips undergo two different packaging stages using bag packer for
potato chips to be packed in bag and the other bulk can filler distribute the chips evenly in the
container.
