The maps compare the changes of the past 57 years in a coastal town which is also known as

Pentland.

Overall, it can be seen clearly that the town witnessed a spectacular development with the
addition of recreational and residential areas making the town more appealing to the public.

To begin, the grass land to the southeast of the town was knocked down to construct the
housings and to make the way for the road. Many shops were set up in the centre of the town
making people accessible to the facilities. Moreover, many recreational areas such as swimming
pool and park to the northwest along with the cinema to the south were developed.

Furthermore, three apartments were set up in the northeast of the town whereas the car park
in the east was relocated to the west of the town and converted it into multi-story one. The sea
to the north was also modernized as yacht marina and two road sides were added to get to the
place.
