Topic: The maps compare a town centre at the present and its planned development

The maps illustrate the development happening in the centre of Islip town in the future compared to
its current layout. Overall, there will be a dramatic changes in most facilities of the town.

In the north, the shops will be demolished, together with the construction of bus station, shopping
centre, car park and new housing from the west to the east. The main road from the west to the east
of the town will be destroyed and replaced by the road for pedestrians only. The road which turns to
the left of the new housing in the north will be taken its place of the road which turns to the right of
park in the south of the town.

Regarding to the remaining areas, the shops in the south and the housing in the west south of the
town will be remained. There will be a new housing to the south of the town and it will be built next
to parking area. The school in the south of the town will be knocked down and replaced by dual
carriageway.

Topic: The maps show the changes on an island in from the past to the present

The maps illustrate the transformations taking place on Paradise Island in the present compared to its
past layout.

In general, there is a significant development of Paradise Island between before construction and
after construction. Paradise Island has been modernized with more facilities for tourists.

From the north to the south of Paradise Island, all the coconut trees and Scientific Research Station
have been destroyed, together with the appearance of swimming pool, hotel complex, open
restaurant, cycle path. The natural spring in the east north of Paradise Island has been remained and
the cafe has been built in the west of the island.

Regarding the remaining areas of Paradise Island, the rocks in the east north of the island has been
the same and there is a new scenic lookout to serve tourism purposes. Tourists could be allowed to
swim at the beach to the west north of the island. The pier has been enlarged in the west south of the
island and cruise ship has taken its place of the boat to the south of the island.
