The maps illustrate how Islip town center will be after several constructions are going to be built

compared to how it is now.

Overall, there will be a striking development, which change the appearance of the town center totally

The main road stands in the middle of the present map. It runs from east to west with two paths at the
south. The path on the west will lead to the school, while the one lie on the east will lead to the park.
There are two ranges of shops along the main road and residential areas are placed to the south of the
main road, between the paths.

Moving to the future-planned map, it can easily be realized that the most notable change is the main
road. It will be constructed as a dual carriageway and cover all around the center of the town. The old
main road will be converted to a pedestrian-only, going across the center. At the north of the main road,
the shops will be destroyed to make way for new constructions. From west to east, these are bus
stations, shopping centers, car parks, and new housing with a small path leading to it, respectively. The
southern of the main road witnessed the stable of the range of shops and other changes. The housing
will be moved to the west while there will be new housing near the east. The park will be narrowed but
still stay at the position where it is now. The school experienced a little bit of upgrade and the housing
near it will be moved to the east.
