The maps compare the changes of access to get to the City Hospital between 2007 and 2010.
Overall, there were three main changes from the maps including the construction of a bus
station, a new public car park, and two roundabouts.

The first change that can be seen from the maps is the construction of a new bus station. In
2007 there were six bus stops in the south of the City Hospital, whereas in 2010 the six bus
stops were removed and replaced with a bus station in the south-west of the City Hospital.

In addition, another change is the construction of a public car park. In 2007 the staff and the
visitors shared the same car park located in the east of the Hospital road, while three years
later, the staff and the visitors no longer shared the car park as a new one was built in the east
of the City Hospital.

The two ends of the Hospital road also experienced some changes. In 2007, there were no
roundabouts at both ends of the Hospital road, but after three years, two roundabouts were built
at the north and south of the hospital road in order to connect the bus station with the other
three roads. (208 words)

The maps above show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010, there are some changes
between those two years but there are also places that remained the same. You can access the
City Hospital by using the Ring Road and the Hospital Road. In 2010, if you choose to use the
Hospital Road, there are two new roundabouts at the south where you enter the road and at the
north of the road, so do not get confused. If you are commuting by bus, in 2007 you can use the
access through the bus stops in the Hospital Road but in 2010 you need to access the bus through
the Bus Station at the west side or in front of the Hospital Road, and across the Staff car park.
The Staff car park itself used to be a parking lot for both Staff and public in 2007, but in 2010
they separated the parking lot in two places and moved the public car park to the east side of the
City Hospital or next to the City Hospital. As has been said before there are some changes but
there are some that remained the same, like the Ring Road and the City Road.

The city hospital’s road was changed from 2007 to 2010. In 2007 the road was simple and
straight, but in 2010 the road is a little bit changed and modified. There were 2 roundabouts
between the main city hospital’s road. In 2007 car parks for staff and for the public were located
in the south of the city hospital, whereas in 2010 car parks area was separated between staff
and the public. The public car park is located in eastern the city hospital, but the staff car park is
located in southern the city hospital. In 2007 there has no bus station, but only six bus stops on
the right and left sides along the hospital road. In 2010, The bus station is concentrated in one
area, but it is no longer at the roadside of main the hospital road. The bus station is now across
the street from the staff car park.

The two maps above show the road access and the facilities of the city hospital in 2007 and
2010. In 2007, for road access to the city hospital, we had to go through the city road, hospital
road, and ring road. But in 2010, there are two roundabouts, one roundabout connecting the city
road and hospital road, and the other roundabout connecting the hospital road and ring road. In
2007, for facilities of the city hospital, there was one car park located in the southeast of the city
hospital. The car park is used by city hospital staff and the public (patients or visitors). Also,
there were six bus stops located in the south of the city hospital, specifically on the hospital
road. But in 2010, there are two car parks, one car park for the public (patients or visitors)
located in the east of the city hospital, and the other for staff located in the southeast of the city
hospital. Also, there is one bus station (which replaced the bus stops), located in the southwest
of the city hospital. The bus station is connected by two roundabouts.

There were some visible changes at City Hospital between 2007 and 2010. One of them is the
bus station. In 2007 there was no bus station, only 6 bus stops on the side of Hospital Road. 3
on the west side and 3 on the east side of the road. But in 2010 there was a Bus station on the
west side of Hospital Road. The Bus station is connected to two roundabouts which located at
each end of the road. The other change is the car park spot. In 2007, staff and public car park
was used to be one place on the east side of Hospital Road. But in 2010, staff and public car
park was separated. Car park for staff was still on the same place and public car park moved to
the east side of City Hospital building.

This time i will explain the information about show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and in
2010. In the first map, access to a city hospital in 2007 is different from the access in 2010
especially for public and staff car park, and bus station also. In 2007, the bus station was in the
eastern part of the hospital while in 2010, the bus station was in the southern part of the
hospital. In 2007, parking lots for employees and the public were placed in one area. The area
is in the southern part of the hospital. This is very different compared to parking lots in 2010
where parking lots for employees and the public are distinguished. In 2010, parking lots for
employees were placed in the eastern part of the hospital, while parking lots for the public were
placed in the southern part of the hospital. Lets look to 2010’s map, In the southern part of the
hospital there are two roundabouts connecting access from city street to hospital. It is totally
different from 2007’s map where there’s no roundabout in the access to city hospital. From the
information that has been conveyed, the conclusion is the access to the hospital in 2010
becomes easier and the facilities around the hospital such as parking lots and bus stations are
larger than in 2007.

Nurul
This illustration explains the difference between City Hospital in two different years. There are
enormous changes between City Hospital in 2007 and City Hospital in 2010.
The City Hospital in 2007 only provided Car Park meanwhile for the bus located in the south
area from the City Hospital. For the Car Park Itself, there is no disparition between Car Park for
Staff and Car Park for public.

However in 2010, they added several facilities, for instance there is disparity between the Car
Park for public and Car Park for staff. The Car Park for Staff is located in the west area of the
city hospital. Meanwhile the bus stops are moved to the east area of the hospital and also
located across the Car Park for Public.
There are additional roundabout facilities located in the south area of the city hospital in 2010
that replaced the bus stop before.

Writing task 2

Art classes such as painting or drawing are important for children’s development, so it
should be compulsory in high school.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Opinion/view/statement

3 Stances:

1. Agree with the statement -> support statement/opinion by giving relevant

arguments
2. Disagree with the statement
3. Maintain a balanced approach

Controlling idea -> benefit and drawback

Agree: why do you agree with the statement?

I agree with the statement as I believe that art classes provide several benefits for
children’s development.

Benefit:
1. Art classes can help improve children’s creativity. Further elaboration (right brain)
2. Art classes can develop children’s imagination. Further elaboration
3. ……

Disagree: why do you disagree with the statement?

I disagree with the view because there are several drawbacks to enforcing art classes
in the school.

Drawback:
1. Not all children have their own potential in art. In other words, children/students
have a wide range of interests.
2.
1. Art classes should not be compulsory, they can be optional. Schools can
propose other classes that have similar functions to art classes (like sports,
etc)

Niken

It is often argued that the art classes such as drawing or painting are important for
children's development. I completely agree with this opinion and think should be
compulsory in high school.

I believe that the students are drawing or painting, they have a place to improve
creativity. The channeling creativity can stimulate bright feeling and work hard at their
learning. For example, a lot of the students are given more space for creativity will be
easy when they have to express their opinions. That's why art classes should be
compulsory in high school too.

In conclusion, I believe that art classes such as drawing or painting in high school is
important for their development.

Irma

Painting or drawing is important for children’s development, especially brain

development. Human has two part of the brain, that is the left brain dan the right brain.
The brain should be balanced between the left and the right brain.

The right brain function is associated with intuition and visuals, which is can be seen in
drawing or painting. These activities have a positive impact such as improving creativity
and imagination, as well as brain training and sensory abilities.

In addition, it should be stimulated sustainability as early as possible. So in my opinion, I

agree that art classes such as painting or drawing should be compulsory in high school
even if it is applied since elementary school. The art class program should be
comprehensive and part of the curriculum, according to ministry education policy and
support.

Nurul
The statement above slightly explains the importance of Fine Art (Painting and Drawing)
for children's Development. Eventough it has a good impact for the children, but i really
disagree about the last statement that Art class should be compulsory in High School.

In my prespective, every child has their own potential in different areas. furthermore,
there are a lot of activities that can also have a good impact on children's development.
For Instance sport activity such as swimming, athletics and soccer has several benefits
for children's motoric development.

In Conclusion, i think it would be nice if the school board gave the student a freedom
time to choose any kind of activities that have good benefits for the children. Not only
their development but also we can give them a chance to express themselves.
