There are two maps showing the modernizing of city Nelson between 2000 and today. Different
changes have taken place in the city because it has been constructed local places as commercial
places and development of roads.
Overall, the modern city, unlike it was before, presents new commercial markets, the
implementation of a tramline, the implementation of bikes station, among other changes,
focusing in the pedestrians, rather than in traffic city.
To begin with, it was established three different commercial locals. Today, in the left part of the
recent map, it was built for the university’s students, a hall of residence. In the same side, the old
stain train was replaced by a new tramline, closer to the center of the map. The center part of the
city is the principal place where one can rent bicycles, and where it was displaced the train
station because it was constructed a tramline. From the whole perspective, a range of commercial
locals as shopping, new shop and new covered market were established. Another interesting
change, in the inferior parts of the maps, is that the old highway destined for cars was replaced
by a pedestrian path. Finally, and it is not less important, it has been built restaurants, bars and
club at the port of the city.
To summarize, the maps show the different changes for the modernization of the city Nelson
since 2000.
