The map illustrates the current and predicted future Islip town centre.

Overall, the significant change for the centre involves the addition of a bus station, a shopping centre, a
car park and two new housings while a new road for vehicles is planned.
Focusing on the current map, there are two rows of shops which are separated by a main road running
west-east throughout the town. This road has two side roads, one leading to the school southwest of the
town centre and the other to the park in the southeast.
Moving on to the prediction, the main road is to be pedestrianized while two side roads are to be turned
into a dual carriageway, extending to the countryside north of the two centres. The row of shops in the
northeast is demolished to make way for a shopping centre, bus station and car park while other and
housing remain unchanged. Furthermore, there are also plans to build new building north and east of the
pedestrian way. Lastly, The future size of the park is small than now whereas an extension is planned for
the school.
