WRITING HOMEWORK 2.

1
Task 1 | Maps
The maps show the village of Pebbleton 20 years ago and now.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

1. Timed Version:
2-minute Introduction
The two maps illustrated how the town of Phebbleton has changed for 20 years so far.
2-minute Overview
Overall, this town has witnessed the development of the road system. It is also noticeable that there has been the addition of
accommodations and recreational facilities, which contributes to the urbanization of the town.
6-Minute Body 1
From the beginning, Pebbleton was an underdeveloped peninsula which only connected to the mainland through the
Roadbridge. It was also the Roadbridge that is the only road to get to school from the east side. Additionally, a film studio
was located to the south west of the map and a playing field running along the Old Fort Road. Meanwhile, the north area of
the map was dedicated to a lighthouse which was located to the north west of the peninsula, an old fort and an array of
accommodations that was constructed along the beach and could be only approached by the Lighthouse Lane.
6-Minute Body 2
After 20 years, a new community center has been built in the vicinity of the residential zone which has the number of houses
that are almost twice as many as they had 20 years ago. Also, the old fort has been replaced with a children' playground. In
addition, the film studio has been turned into an apartment as well as there is a newly constructed road named Foot Path that
connects Coast Road with tennis courts newly built along the Lighthouse Lane. Finally, the lighthouse and the playing field
still remain unchanged about the position as well as the purpose of use.
