The maps show the changes made to a beachfront area in Australia from 1950 until today.

Overall, the entire waterfront area has seen significant development in terms of new facilities,
buildings, and access roads.
In 1950, the access road only went as far as the car park located next to the pavilion. However,
today the access road extends all the way around to the lighthouse next to the beach. In
addition, another carpark has been built, replacing the old children’s playground area.
The two swimming pools located beside the beach still remain today, however the pool located
on the western side of the beach has been converted into a 50m pool. New buildings for a
restaurant and surf club have also been constructed nearby the 50m pool. The 25m pool next to
the lighthouse remains unchanged, although it is also now accompanied by a new building for
another surf club.
