A good Piping layout shall be developed having in mind

Optimum economic piping

Other factors includes,

Sufficient head room shall be given for operator access

No. of fittings used shall be minimized

Piping must be adequately supported to minimize pipe breakage

Equipment nozzles shall have minimum nozzle loads
