TECHNICAL GUIDELINES AND GROUND RULES

COMPETITION GUIDELINES

(The latest International Basketball Federation (FIBV) Rules shall govern the Basketball
competition except for the approved Special Guidelines and Ground Rules in this competition.)

I. OBJECTIVES:
This proposed sporting activity aims to:

1. promote healthy lifestyles amidst pandemic,

2. provide avenue for exciting activities that will develop physically and mentally of
our students from the members school of OPSCSI,
3. Create our own sporting events in our organization that will line up with BUCAL,
PRISAA and other athletic league in our province.
4. Create developmental league in our organization that will give us opportunity to
select and develop quality athlete that will represent OPSCSI in DepEd Palaro,
regional and national competition, even in other international competition.

II. TEAM:
1. Eligibility
1.1 Only officially enrolled students in respective schools who are
member of the Organization of Private Schools in Camarines Sur inc.
1.2 Secondary Students from Junior High School, Senior High School or
combination from JHS and SHS
2. Team Composition
2.1 Each participating schools may form 1 team composed of 12 players,
1 head coach, 1 assistant coach and coaching staff.
III. REQUIRMENTS:
1. Team Gallery
2. Photocopy of Vaccination Card (Fully Vaccinated/1st Booster)
3. Enrollment data of present semester signed by the school registrar
4. Photocopy of school ID
5. Birth certificate
6. Parents permit

IV. ENTRY FEE

The Registration fee is Php 1,000.00 per participating team that covers the payment
for the officiating officials and other operation expenses.

V. TIMING REGULATIONS:
The official FIBV Rules shall apply with the latest amendments.

VI. PROTEST
In times of a protest games or players, the head coach must put it on a black and
white writings and must submit it to the organizing committee or tournament manager
with in the day of protest date.

Note: Protest fee is 1,500 php. No protest fee protest letter will not be entertained.
VII. AWARDS

1. CHAMPION - Trophy and plaque of certificate

2. 1st and 2nd runner up - certificate
3. Non winners - certificate of participation

IX. COMPETITION FORMAT:

1. The teams will be divided into (2) groups for (MEN & WOMEN). The group will
be determined by drawing of lots.

2. Schedule of games and venue is a mobile format; teams who have scheduled
game will travel and play the game in the designated district or school that is
assigned.

3. Team in each group will play single round robin to determine the team standings
and the top two teams will advance to the SEMI-FINALS for the cross over
knock out game.

3.1 SEMIFINALS

Top 1 (Group A) vs Top 2 (Group B)

Top 2 (Group A) vs Top 1 (Group B)

4. TheSEMIFINALS WINNERS will then move to the

FINALS/CHAMPIONSHIP, while LOSERS will play for 3rd and 4th PLACE.

X. To ensure the safety and convenience of the participants, the tournament is subject and
observes health protocols in accordance with the IATF Resolution.

XI. Uttering/shouting of foul language or bad words from the players shall not be tolerated;
such act shall be dealt with Technical Foul.
XII. SPECIAL PROVISION:

The Tournament Manager reserves the right to make any decision on matter that affects
the conduct of the tournament and which subject/concerns is not covered/ specified in
this ground rules.

 SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FOR VOLLEYBALL

1. Each faction/team shall send twelve (12) players to compete.

2. Each player must wear an identifying number in his/her clothing. This is for identification
and recording purposes.
3. Players must be officially enrolled in the participating school.
4. Players must be under 18 years old.
5. Single Round Robin will be followed.
6. The rules used by the FIVB will be applied governing the technical management.
7. The committee assigned shall provide an official form, supplies and equipment. NO other
forms, supplies or equipment shall be used in games without the permission and approval
of the Committee Head.
8. Games will be three (3) sets only, and five (5) sets for championship.
