Task 1: The Role of Research in Microbiology Pedagogy

Introduction

In every aspect of education, research is now deemed to be an integral part in which students are able to learn
more. Research is a now a part of the curriculum of every course. With research, students are able to work
independently and are able to acquire knowledge in technical writing, experimental design, statistical analysis,
skills in carrying out approved protocols or methodologies of their study of choice.

As an MS student, you will also embark on this endeavor. Start early by doing this task!

This module requires you to:

1. Research for 5 journals in line with microbiology or science pedagogy.

2. Choose one article for every journal you have selected. Do not just randomly pick. Make sure that
you try to understand the titles. Ask yourself - Will I be doing this kind of research in the future.
Choose something that stirs up your interest.

3. Date of Publication: 2010 up to present.
