Material is a physical substance used to make things. Metals, plastics,

ceramics, glass, and fibers are some of the main categories for materials.
These elements serve a purpose when considered useful. They may have
durability, water resistance, heat, acid, flexibility, elasticity, and hardness.

Examples:

Newspaper Plastic Bag Plastic Straw Food Paper Packs

When is a material harmful?

Harmful Materials

√ Materials that are toxic to us

√ Materials that can cause injury
√ Materials that cannot be
dumped straight into a landfill
√ Materials that pollute the
environment easily
