The pie charts describe the proportion of people who were unemployed, employed and had further

education in the USA in 1980, 1990 and 2000.

The pie chart demonstrates the percentage of residents without employment, in employment and
further education in the USA in the 20-year-period starting from 1980.

Overall, there was a significant difference in ranking of the largest sector between 1980 and 1990, whilst
the smallest remained stable. Such remarkable changes cannot be seen in the next 10 years.

At the start of this period, the tertiary education sector dominated a half of the chart, whereas the rate
of the unemployed was five times lower. Ten years later, the chart records a transition in the dominant
numbers / figures role from the proportion of residents in tertiary-educationlevel to that of employed
residents workers, with 38% for the former and 50% for the latter.

Turning to 2000’s figures, as can be seen from this the pie chart, the percentage of American inhabitants
with employment, which made up 55%, reached the pre-eminent position among the period. Similarly,
unemployed ones were in the lowest rank at the same time.
