Hi! My name is Dung, but you can call me Ti which means small. I am eighteen years old and currently I
am a freshman at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. As the name suggests, this university is
located in Hanoi city, which is also my hometown.
I was born and raised in a nuclear family consiting of my parents, two sisters and me. Although
both my mom and dad are businessmen, they still take the time to take good care of us. While my oldest
sister is a lecturer at Banking Academy, the second one is studying for master’s degree in economics.
Unexpectedly, I was the first in my family to switch from studying economics to IT.
About my hobby, I am interested in outdoor activities such as swimming, jogging and especially
soccer. Music and reading also make me enjoy life and are an indispensable hobby of mine.
Moreover, I am an animal enthusiast so I have a dog named Milo, she is a member of my family. My
ambition is that in the future I can fluent in many languages, have a high paying job and have a fulfilling
life. Traveling around the world is also an aspiration of mine. Thank you for reading this.

Dear Hoang,

As you know, our final thesis ended at the end of December and I’m organizing a end-of-exams party for
all senior students. This is a party for all students to release the stress and pressure they have been
through.
The venue for the party is in Metropole hotel and starts at 7 p.m on the 18 th of January with buffet
followed by games, dances and finally wine party. Of course, you don't have to drink alcohol, you can
replace it with fruit juice but wine is more fun for a stress-relieving party.
I’ll pleased if you can join us for the party. Your presence will be highly appreciated. If possible, bring
some wine like whiskey and vodka because there are too many attendees and I know your family have
exclusive wine distribution.

Hi Hoang,
I’m having a great time here on holiday at Byron Bay beach, Autralia. This place is picturesque with white
sand, sunshine and blue sea surface with light waves. Although the weather is quite hot, the winds help to
bring the temperature down. The white clouds float like cotton balls with a clear blue sky stretching
endlessly. Now I’m staying in a villa by the sea and enjoy this wonderful moment.
Yesterday I went surfing and scuba-diving with my friends. These are now experiences that make
extremely excited and unforgettable. Today we sailed to the nearest island where we enjoyed the fresh
seafood.
Tomorrow we’re playing football at the beach, then going to the commercial center to buy food and
clothes. I’ve only got four more days here. I hope that you are here to enjoy the holiday with me.

I’m actually a person who is very fond of and proficient in technology, but I’m going to tell you about one
time when I really couldn’t deal with a technical problem on my personal computer.
A few months ago, I was experimenting with an emerging game called ‘’ Leuge of Lengends’’ with my
close friend Hoang. The first thing we did at that time was download the crack version of it because it
was a paid game and we couldn’t afford it. After succesfully downloading, we were extremely excited and
immidiately click on the game to join.
Afterwards, a black screen appeared and reamained without showing game options. Although I tried
restarting the computer but all of sudden, it didn’t work.
‘’This is strange’’ I said. ‘’ Maybe the crack we downloaded contains viruses’’ Hoang replied. Hoang and I
were very scared because this PC is an extremely expensive computer that I just received from my
mother.’’ My life is attached to it Hoang, if it breaks, my mom will beat me to death” I whimpered. ‘’Don’t
worry, you can bring it to the store so they can repair it’’ Hoang advised me. Fortunately, my cousin is a
technician at a famous store and he fixed my PC without charge.
This is a lesson for us when using technology devices because viruses always appear everywhere on
social networks, especially anonymous websites.

Thanks for your letter. Apologies for not replying sooner. My final thesis just finished yesterday, so now I
have time to write you back.

You’ll never gues what happened to me, yesterday I was invited to an archery competition organized by
my university archery club. It’s taking place in West Lake Community Center near West Lake. This
competition makes me excited and ready to practice day and night. I will practice arching and aiming
everyday to get used to it because I know that it’s very difficult to bend a bow and shoot an arrow at the
target especially well enough to win the prize. Moreover, I will buy protective gear to avoid injuries that will
embarrass me because there will be a lot of spectators and cheerleaders there.

Dear Alex,
I would like to recommend you a room of my house for you to rent. I think this is the best choice for you
both in terms of price and utilities. My house is located in Trich Sai street. It’s a magnificent house, which
flaunt a small yet dainty garden at the entrance to my house. My house is a five-floor house with many
trees and flowers around. As you enter you will see an elegant living room attached to our stylish dining
room. Along the corridor are antique paintings that lead you to the splendid kitchen. We have five graveful
and fancy bedrooms with the master both on one side of the house and the other four bedrooms on the
opposite side of the house. The room that you will stay in is on the fourth floor. Although it has all the
amenities and furniture such as a large brown wooden table set, new German air conditioner, a two-door
refrigerator and more; you still need to buy a PC to facilitate learning.
About the people in this house, they are all extremely friendly and hospitable. On top of that, because it’s
located on the street opposite the West Lake, every morning you can walk and watch the sunrise- a
picturesque view. Moreover, for only 5 million VND you can exchang all the above wonderful things. What
