SAP HCM (SAP Human Capital Management) is a human resources management system. It contains all
functions that are relevant for personnel administration, payroll, applicant management, and personnel
development. In addition, SAP HCM links personnel management and personnel management with multi-level
application and approval processes.
The system is closely linked to the organizational structure, whereby hierarchy-dependent processes can be
automated. Adaptation to company-specific conditions is possible by integrating numerous submodules.
There are various sub models in SAP HCM for different processes.

1. Organizational Management: This process defines an organized way to make different people work under
a common platform towards achieving a pre-defined goal. It ensures a smart management of time and
resources in the workstation.
Enterprise structure: Enterprise structure shows the relation between 2 organizational units created

2. Personnel Administration: This process defines the process through which the human resource of an
organization is managed. From the stage of recruiting through compensation, benefits, new employee
orientation, performance-appraisal and more, everything can be recorded and tracked through this process.
1. Configuration of Company code- taken care by FICO consultant from the HR perspective they just look
out for the Assignment with the Personal Area.

Time Evaluation
Time evaluation is used to record the attendance of an employee and to record his absence
from work. Time recording is required to process the payroll. Time evaluation is run for
specific employees and all the employees are not required to process time evaluation.
− To run time evaluation, use T-code: PT60
− HR Time: Time Evaluation, Enter details like Personnel Number, Evaluation Schema
and Evaluation up to
− Time will be evaluated and log will be displayed
5. Payroll: This process as the term defines is all about the pay-scale and compensations given away to
employees. From salary to overtime pay, comp-off pay and compensation program, everything is
calculated in this process.
Ingestion
In Ingestion we load the CSV file using the TCODE ZHUM_NIS_DATA_INGEST
The T code” PC00_MX_CALC”is used to get into the payroll driver (Where X represent the country
grouping)
Once the payroll driver is completed, we proceed with posting of the documents
Use the T code” PC00_M99_CIPE01” for posting
In PCP0, the document created is changed from “Created” to “Released” and then finally we proceed
with posting of the documents created.

To load the entries into the system we use the TCODE “ZHUM_PAYROLL_RESULTS”
6. ESS and MSS: Employee Self-Service helps employees to individually track various data of their tenure
in an organization. On the other hand, Management Self-Service is a vital process for the managers to
create and maintain the data of employees.
