After were done with our survey about their sources of stress and how they cope with it, we found out that
many of our responders which mostly consist of students, experienced academic stress, some of them have
Relationship/Family/Financial problems and yes, students also experienced stress through insecurities.
However, they have their own way to cope these stresses that occur in their everyday life. Most of the
students that experiences academic stress tend to manage their time properly, this is one of their coping
mechanisms. Others tend to buy and eat their comfort food as their way to cope with these stress, listening
to music, sleeping, going out with friends/family and playing online games are some of their ways to cope
with other stresses.
Seeing the data, one of the things I can recommend to lessen the stress is exercising everyday as it improves
your mood thus negating the effects of burn out from academic stresses and such. Doing the necessary
exercise from time to time increases your energy output, therefore, allowing you to endure those stresses
and giving you enough energy to actively get the tasks done in time.( We mainly focus of academic stress
and workloads because almost all of the responders are students and we know that in some time, they will
experience various academic stress.)
