A work environment is the setting, social features and physical conditions in

which you perform your job. These elements can impact feelings of well-being,
workplace relationships, collaboration, efficiency and employee health.

A pressure-cooker working environment is also called a high-pressure working

environment. It is a workplace that limits employee safety, growth, and goal attainment.
Employees always stress out and cope with the stressful environment which prevents
employees from performing to their highest ability. There are many different types of
elements that affect the pressure-cooker working environment that include physical
components, company culture, and working conditions. In this environment, everyone is
expected to do more with less. Some of these noticeable factors can be mentioned as
pressure, tight deadlines and non-stop work.

Although every industry has roles which are considered to be high pressure, some
careers are inevitably more stressful than others. Working in the healthcare sector, for
example, is routinely considered to be high pressure, regardless of what your role is.
