I. Introduction

Mental health is a state of wellness characterized by self-awareness, the ability to

handle everyday challenges, the capacity for successful and productive work, and the

capacity to contribute to one's community (OSH Answers). It serves as the basis for

feelings, reasoning, verbal and written communication, learning, resiliency, and self-

worth (CCCollege). University students have to face a wide variety of demands, both

academic and non-academic, that could affect their well-being (Beiter et al., 2015;

Vizoso and Arias,2016;Erschens et al.,2018;Webber et).

There has been an upsurge in the mental health issues that students in higher

education have reported, with suicide and homicide being the most dramatic results as

define by WHO. One of the most frequently proposed ways to address these issues is

through enhancing first-hand intervention and implementing mental health preventive

and promotion initiatives in colleges and universities (PubMED). Mental illness, also

called mental health disorders, refers to a wide range of mental health conditions, that

affect your mood, thinking and behavior (MAYOCLINIC).

The WHO states that mental health is “more than just the absence of mental

disorders or disabilities.” The academic success of nursing students depends in large

part on their psychological health, which necessitates the use of effective coping

methods. Students require a high level of resilience and coping methods because

perceived distress is common and has an impact on their psychological health (Ahmed

W.A.M et. al 2022).

The people who benefit the most from this level of care are those who require

ongoing medical supervision, as well as those who have moderately severe, persistent
symptoms and have not made any noticeable improvements after receiving outpatient

mental health treatment. Along with conventional treatments like counseling and

medication, complementary and alternative mental health treatment alternatives may be

used some of the most typical supplemental treatment types (Psychguides). Strategies

in order to generate a plan of action should start with an objective of a detailed purpose.

Numerous choices that are decisively picked can translate into an efficient and creative

outcome. And with this reason, I have strategically manage to qualify a research that

with the origin of the Mental Stability specifically for nursing students of Lyceum of the

Philippines University, Batangas.
