Nowadays because of the changing world, many old places have

been replaced with modern choices that seems to fit people’s need.
A number of traditional buildings have been destroyed, but not
everyone sees that as a great idea. Do you think it’s a good idea to
spend tax money protecting old buildings in Bangkok?

Thailand is a country which is full of history and cultures which

lead to traditional architectures were built in many time periods.
Nowadays, globalization has changed the world a lot. Most people
think there is no need to preserve old buildings anymore. However,
in my opinion, it’s a good idea to spend tax money protecting old
buildings in Bangkok for two reasons.

Firstly, old buildings help us to understand the history that

occurred before we were born and supports the respect for those
who lived in prior times and different traditions. Preservation of old
monuments plays an important cultural role in cultivating pride of
our heritage and past making us unique in the world.

Secondly, maintaining and saving Architectural monuments

attract tourists, especially people who like to experience the “spirit”
of the city, which is seen through architecture. As well when old
buildings attract tourists, that will definitely create more jobs for
locals, and help in improving the economic prosperity of the city.

To conclude, there are two reasons why spending tax money

protecting old buildings in Bangkok is a good idea. Old buildings are
not only important for remaining our historical cultures in each
period of time, but also for improving the economic by attracting
tourists who like to visit old buildings. Therefore, old buildings in
Bangkok are worth to preserve from now on.
