CHAPTER IV
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATE

This chapter deals with the presentation, analyzation and interpretation of

the data gathered in this research study. The different results were presented in

some tables with corresponding explanations and discussions, also answers

specific problems.

The data presented that students found difficulties in Writing with the mean

of 4.14; followed by Reading with the mean of 3.79, Speaking got the mean of

3.64; Speaking with the weighted mean of 3. 64, and least factor is the Listening

with the weighted mean of 3. 59. The total mean of the Macro Skills is 3. 79

which show often level of difficulties in English. In table 2, the Writing got the

highest number of students who encountered difficulties in English with the

weighted mean of 4.14, followed by Reading with the weighted mean of 3.79,

In figure 4 shows the percentage distribution of respondents who got the

hardest time in English Macro Skills. Off all the respondents, Writing got the

highest percentage of 46% where students getting the hardest with English. It

followed by the combination of Macro Skills with the percentage of 23%. Table 5

in appendix C shows the complete responses including the several combinations

of Macro Skills. Reading got the percentage of 13%, Listening got the percentage

of 10% and lastly is the B or speaking with the percentage of 8%.

Table 3 shows the one-way ANOVA statistics. Through ANOVA calculator, it

directly shows the possible combination of paired macro skills that will determine

their differences. Based on the result, the mean of the following pairs is

significantly different: A obtained a p-value of 0.00047, D obtained a p-value of

-8 -9
9.77x10, and E obtained a p-value of 7.87x 10.
