Transpiration is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial

parts, such as leaves, stems and flowers. Transpiration helps in the conduction of water and
minerals to different parts of the plants. Due to the continuous elimination of water from the
plant body, there is a balance of water maintained within the plant. It maintains osmosis and
keeps the cells rigid. Wind can alter rates of transpiration by removing the boundary layer,
that still layer of water vapor hugging the surface of leaves. Wind increases the movement of
water from the leaf surface when it reduces the boundary layer, because the path for water
to reach the atmosphere is shorter. Since plan b have the highest transpiration it will
increase the rate of transpiration whereas compared to Plant C (control) have the lowest rate
of transpiration as there was no wind to increases the movement of water from the leaf
surface when it reduces the boundary layer.
