● To provide students with the opportunity to practice their speaking skill by exchanging ideas, feelings and opinions related to
birthdays.
● To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of last birthday.
● To provide review of vocabulary related to special occasions.

● To provide students with effective and constructive feedback on their reading and speaking skills.
● Improve my performance in giving clear instructions and use ICQ effectively.
● To reduce my talking time and make the class more student-centered.

● T tells students they are going to check the vocabulary of T-Ss 6 min
some words related to special occasions.
● T shows students some words taken from the text (own-
blow out-pick up) and asks them to read the examples

below so they can relate their meaning to the pictures.
● Students match the vocabulary with the correct pictures.
● OCFB- T provides checks if the answers are correct and

provides 3 more sentences if necessary for students to
complete using the three words.

there are any questions.

● T tells students they are going to read a text which has T 6 min
no title.
● T explains that they will have only 2 minutes to get the T
general idea so they can choose an appropriate title.
● T shares a google forms link which contains a text about
 different celebrations around the world for students to

● Ss read the text and choose the title.

● OCFB - T Nominate 1 Ss to answer the Q show the

● T asks if Ss have any questions before moving on.
