Traffic Jam

Traffic jam is a situation or condition of traffic jams caused by the large number of
vehicles exceeding the road capacity. If you pay attention, at certain times the traffic on the
road seems to be jammed. In the morning, traffic jams begin to be felt when community
members start going to their work places and students start going to school. During the day
the traffic jam reaches its peak.

I think the root cause of this congestion problem is a crossroads that cannot be
controlled with traffic lights, traffic that passes through the road and exceeds the capacity of
the road itself, many road users who are not orderly and obey traffic regulations, there are
several passing vehicles who are leaving or turning back on certain roads, and people use
private vehicles more than public transportation.

I think the solution is: the installation of traffic lights on roads must have the potential to
be prone to congestion, so that traffic jams can be avoided by road users. There are efforts
to increase road capacity by separating types of vehicles based on their dimensions or
speed. For example, the separation of roads between public transportation, motorcycles and
cars. Making MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), which has a large mass of carrying capacity, travel
time is fast and has a high frequency, and can stop at many stations. Reducing conflicts in
the area. Intersections through certain flow restrictions, usually the most dominant is by
limiting the flow of right turns, widening roads, also adding traffic lanes so that congestion
does not occur, if this is possible. Utilizing public transport transportation services that have
been provided by the government.
