 VOLLEYBALL (MEN AND WOMEN)
1. A team may consist of up to 12 players, one coach, and one assistant coach.

2. Each team will vie in a single elimination scheme.

3. Best of three (3) sets during elimination round.

 All sets are up to 25 points with a minimum lead of 2 points.

 In deciding set (3rd set), once a team reaches 13 points, the teams change courts without delay and
the player positions remain the same.

 Two (2) time-out allotted for each set.

4. Best of five (5) sets during championship round.

 All sets are up to 25 points (except 5th set) with a minimum lead of 2 points.

 In deciding set (5th set), once a team reaches 8 points, the teams change courts without delay and
the player positions remain the same.

 Two (2) time-out allotted for each set.

ELIGIBILITY:

All students under College of Education of Universidad de Manila are allowed to participate in the tournament.

Teams should submit an official line-up and photo gallery on or before February 17, 2023 (Friday) at 5:00
p.m..

IN-HOUSE RULES:

1. Existing “Official Volleyball Rules” FIVB shall apply on all games with modifications.
2. Ten (10) minutes defaulting time will be observed. A team that, without justifiable reason, does not appear
on the playing court on time is declared in default.
3. Only the team with at least six (6) players can play.
4. Only the team composition members are permitted to sit on the bench during the match.
5. To ensure that all players will play in the spirit of true sportsmanship, both the team captain and the coach are
responsible for the conduct and discipline of their team members. The Liberos cannot be either team or game
captain.
6. During the game, proper behavior must be shown at all times.
7. Referees’ decision is final and should be respected. Only the team captain are allowed to contest or
communicate with the referees.

 BASKETBALL 5 on 5 (MEN)
1. A team may consist of up to 15 players, one coach, and maximum of three assistant coaches.

2. Each team will vie in a single elimination scheme.

 There will be four (4) quarters in a game consisting of ten (10) minutes per quarter. All quarters
of the game will be running time except for the last five (5) minutes of the 4th quarter.

 Each quarter is limited of two (30 seconds) time outs.

3. Existing international FIBA Rules shall apply on all games with modification.

4. Ten (10) minutes defaulting time will be observed.

5. During the game, proper behavior must be shown at all times.

6. Referees’ decision is final and should be respected. Only the team captains are allowed to contest or
communicate with the referees.

ELIGIBILITY:

All students under College of Education of Universidad de Manila are allowed to participate in the tournament.

BASKETBALL 3 on 3 (WOMEN)
1. A team may consist of up to 6 players, one coach, and one assistant coach.

2. Each team will vie in a single elimination scheme.

 Each game is consisting of ten (10) minutes and will be running time.

 Each game is limited of two (30 seconds) time outs.

3. Initial possession is toss coin. The team that wins the toss coin decides whether it takes the ball or leaves it in
order to get it in a potential overtime.

4. Existing international FIBA Rules shall apply on all games with modification.

5. Five (5) minutes defaulting time will be observed.

6. During the game, proper behavior must be shown at all times.

BADMINTON (MEN AND WOMEN)

1) Each team will vie in a single elimination scheme.

 Each match consists of one game of 21 points.

 Every time there is a serve – there is a point scored.

 The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.

 At 20 all, the side which gains a 2-point lead first, wins that game.

 Once the leading score reaches 11 points, players have to change courts.

 There is one (1) time-out (30 secs) allotted for each game.

2) Five (5) minutes defaulting time will be observed.

3) Singles

 At the beginning of the game (0-0) and when the server’s score is even, the server serves from the right
service court. When the server’s score is odd, the server serves from the left service court.

 If the server wins a rally, the server scores a point and then serves again from the alternate service court.

 If the receiver wins a rally, the receiver scores a point and becomes the new server.

 They serve from the appropriate service court – left if their score is odd, and right if it is even.

4) Doubles

 At the beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server serves from the right service court.
When it is odd, the server serves from the left court.

 If the serving side wins a rally, the serving side scores a point and the same server serves again from the
alternate service court.

f the receiving
side wins a rally, the receiving side scores a point. The receiving side becomes the new serving side.

 The players do not change their respective service courts until they win a point when their side is
serving. If players commit an error in the service court, the error is corrected when the mistake is
discovered.

 In doubles match between A & B against C & D. A & B won the toss and decided to serve.

 A to serve to C. A shall be the initial server while C shall be the initial receiver.

 Player should be in the event place in all time, delaying of the game will charge as fault and referee shall
remove the player on the game.

PATINTERO (MEN AND WOMEN)

3. All games are best of three (3) sets.

 In case of tie in innings, recorded time must be consider. Team with less remaining time will be the winner of
the set.

4. Each game is 2 minutes per set/inning during elimination round.

 Points system shall be applied for every sets/innings.

 There are 5 players for defense and 5 players offense.

 The game stops, if a tag or contact has been called by the umpires.

 A player is not allowed to cross backwards the line upon crossing the line and goes out of the sideline.

 Both feet must past the line when crossing the line to obtain/determine a score.

 Both feet should be on the line while defensing, tag or contact is not valid if not do so.

 Offensive players cannot be tag or contact if he/she passes the line, unless if he/she reruns.

 Wearing accessories such as jewelries are not allowed.

 Long finger nails are not allowed.

 Trash talking are not allowed.

 Unnecessary actions and/or extra motions after the whistle are not allowed.

 All contacts are valid.

5. Five (5) minutes defaulting time will be observed.

6. Each set is three (3) minutes for championship game.

DODGEBALL (MIXED)
1. A team should consist of 10 players, 5 male and 5 female, one coach, one assistant coach.

2. Each team will vie in a single elimination scheme.

3. All games are best of three (3) sets.

4. Each game is 2 minutes per set.

 Court size will be 6 meters (side line to side line) by 12 meters (end line to end line of patintero court).

 The game will start by “tossing of coin”.

 No substitution and time-out unless injury occurred.

 The hit is valid only if the offensive palyer is not stepping on the marked line.

 Once hit, the hitted player should be eliminated. The game resumes upon the signal of the referee.

 In case two or more players are hit, they will be eliminated.

 Defensive player should not go outside the playing area and not allowed to touch the ball.

 Basis of points are the remaining players inside the playing area.

5. Five (5) minutes defaulting time will be observed.
