Assignment #1

1. INVENTORY SKILLS. List down at least 5 skills that are innate to you
(Introvert or Extrovert skills). How are these skills helping to develop your
personality?

a. Self-management skill
o This is one of the most important skill I possess, especially as
someone with aspirational goals in life. It enables me to carry out
my plans in order to fulfill my duties as a student, a daughter, a
sister, a friend, a citizen, and a child of God all at once. This ability
is crucial because it needs to be developed in line with the
escalating difficulty of life's challenges as I get older. I have more
control over my desired course of action in life because I can
regulate and control my actions, feelings, and thoughts. I am also
able to maintain productivity and embrace my independence.

b. Critical Thinking skill

o It helps me think critically and resolve problems in a more
effective and methodical manner. It compelled me to use my
imagination or think outside the box. Not only is it useful for my
engineering course, but it also supports my ability to make rational
decisions in everyday life.

c. Adaptability skill
o It helped me be resilient enough to handle change in life, no matter
how serious it might be. I can easily make adjustments in order to
meet the needs of the circumstances and thrive in every situation I
might be in.

d. Musical skill (can play guitar and ukulele)

o Music is my therapy in life. This enables me to express all of my
emotions, both good and bad. It also helps me embrace my
introverted side because I enjoy my alone time with music.

e. Dancing skill

dancing enables me express myself and let loose. It helps me lift
my mood which benefits my mental wellbeing.

2. What made you decide to take up the profession/vocation of

Aeronautical Engineering (factors that influenced you)? Had not
Aeronautical Engineering, what would be your best choice? Why?

The success that many of the friends of my parents who work in the aviation
sector have achieved recently has motivated me. They were all working abroad, which
is one of my goals. Since I was a young child, I've wanted to be an engineer, but until
I reach senior high school, I'm not sure which area of engineering I want to specialize
in. Because of my interest in and motivation for this field, I began researching
aeronautical engineering. Their salary income was another factor in my motivation
because, in my own mind, I said, "I also want those digits coming to my account on a
monthly basis in God's perfect plan."
Originally, I want to be a mechanical engineer. My family, however, wants me
to pursue a career in medicine or any other field “appropriate for a woman”. But like
my father and older brother, I really want to work as a mechanical engineer. I was
astounded by their capabilities in critical thinking, machine design, problem solving,
and other areas. Additionally, I'm curious about how they approach problems
requiring critical thinking in their line of work. But even so, I'm glad I'm taking a
course that relates to the one I want to take.
