1. How to solve computer hardware related problem?

Most common PC hardware issues

 PC Overheating - A heating PC slows down the whole system and leads to
frequent crashes. Also PC components may also get permanently damaged due to
constant exposure to heat.
 Dysfunctional USB Port - If your USB port stops working, it’s not necessary that
it’s broken. Some solutions that can fix this issue: Restart the PC, Uninstall USB
port driver
 PC crashes before loading the OS - If your PC only shows manufacturer logo
and then crashes right before it was supposed to load the operating system, then
it’s a problem with RAM or hard disk. As the OS is unable to load, then either the
RAM is corrupted and can’t hold the bootloader or the hard drive is damaged and
can’t load data inside it.
 PC isn’t powering on - If your PC is not powering on at all – not even a single
light in it, then it must be a problem with the power source.
 Blue Screen of Death - The dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) can occur due
to both software and hardware problems, but usually, it’s a hardware problem. It
can caused by, Corrupted drivers, Too much pressure on the RAM, Faulty hard
disk
 Blank monitor - If your monitor isn’t showing anything, then this could be
a problem with the monitor itself or the graphics card. You should connect the
monitor to another PC to see whether the problem is with the PC or the monitor.
 Monitor goes black after few seconds - If the monitor goes black after few
seconds of display, then it could be a problem with the colour quality or screen
adjustment. Press the auto-adjust button on your monitor to see if it fixes it. If not,
then you will have to change display colour from 32bit to 16 bit.
Best solutions for hardware issues
 Use a Process of Elimination
 Troubleshoot Computer Cables
 Reseat and Reconnect Components
 Take Note of Error Messages
 Listen to Your Hardware
 See What Your Operating System Says
 Check Your BIOS or UEFI to Fix Computer Issues

2. How to solve computer software related problem?

Most common PC software problems

 Corrupt Drivers - Corrupt drivers usually show up in the form of the blue screen
of death, also known as the BSOD. A corrupt driver would mean that your system
screen freezes, and you are unable to work on anything else on it.
 Malware Attack - A secure network can help organizations manage key
operations and get the best results possible from processes.
 Inability to Access Email - Inability to run emails can lead to a few problems.
The right way to fix email issues is to log out from your app and then restart it.
 New Applications Don’t Install - is mostly attributed to space issues, it can also
be due to malware. You should first try freeing up the space in your computer to
see if the file now installs. If this step doesn’t work, you should look for malware.
Best solutions for software issues
 Free up RAM by closing other open programs
 Restart the software
 Use the Internet to find help
 Undo any recent hardware or software changes
 Uninstall the software, then reinstall it
 Look for software patches
 Scan for viruses and malware
 Shut down and restart your computer

3. What is the function of driver software?

Device driver - is a computer program that operates or controls a particular type

of device that is attached to a computer or automaton. A driver provides a
software interface to hardware devices, enabling operating systems and other computer
programs to access hardware functions without needing to know precise details about the
hardware being used.
Drivers are hardware dependent and operating-system-specific. They usually provide
the interrupt handling required for any necessary asynchronous time-dependent hardware
interface.
The main purpose of device drivers is to provide abstraction by acting as a translator
between a hardware device and the applications or operating systems that use it.
