2.0 Operation:

Tyre Mounted Articulated Mobile Crane is generally used to carry materials from one place to another. It
consist of a winch which is telescopic in nature due to which it can carry materials in a convinient way to
the destination. The total operation is done hydraulically . The articulated joint provided in the machine
helps it to swing sideways for moving . Mounted on tyre & run by diesel driven engine. The capacity varies
from 8.0 ton to 11.0 ton capacity. The lever provided in the machine helps it to move, to swing & to carry
materials . There are different hooks of different capacity load.

3.0 Maintenance Schedule

3.1 Before Starting.


a) Check the dust indicator.
b) Check the engine oil level.
c) Check the coolant level.
d) Check & adjust the V-belt tension.
e) Check fuel level in fuel tank.
f) Check fuel tank element.
g) Check all the safety warning devices.
h) Check the pressure & condition of front & rear tyres.
i) Check any oil leakege.
j) Tighten water pump idler pully bolts.
k) Check the hydrauli c oil level.
l) Check the position of the mirror.
m) Check and grease the guide & winch.
n) Check all the welding joints.
o) Check the turbo charger for any kind of leakage.
p) Check the oil level in gear box.
q) Check the safety latches.

3.2 After Starting.


a) Check engine exhaust smoke colour.
b) Check all the gauges.
c) Check all the safety warning devices.
d) Check any abnormal sound in the Engine unit & gear box.
e) Check the electrical wiring system.
f) Check all the switches.
g) Check all the function of the governor
h) Check any abnormal sound in the hyd. pump & motor unit.
i) Check the oil & water temperature.
j) Check the illumination of all lights & bulbs.
k) Check the performance of clutches & brakes.

3.3 Maintenance: After every 250-300 running hours.

a) Clean the air filter element.


b) Replace the engine oil.
c) Replace the oil filter element.
d) Replace the fuel filter.
e) Wash the fuel tank strainer.
f) Check terminal bloch.
g) Clean the engine body.
h) Check the air cleaner
i) Clean the radiator.
j) Check all the auto electrical system.
k) Check coolant inhibitor.
l) Check heat exchanger zinc plugs.
m) Check the fliud coupling of the hydarulic system.
n) Check the gear box oil.
o) Check the unloder valve,propet valve, quick relief valve.
p) Check the condition of the lifting hook & wire rope.
q) Tighten the FIP mounting.
r) Check the play of all operating levers.

3.4 After Monthly checking is completed.

i) Start the engine.


ii) Run at idle rating for 5 min.
iii) Check the oil pressure.
iv) Stop the engine and check the oil level after 15 min.
v) Note the date of servicing, the hour at which servicing is done and the next due date.All in
log book for the machine.
vi) In case any abnormality is being rectified it should also mentioned in the Log Book.

4.0 Safety:
a) The machine shall be run according to the norms & instruction indicated in the
manual to ensure personal safety of the operator and the site workers.
b) The machine can only be operated by specialized & trained operator having valid
driving licence for such machine.
c) The operator shall wear
i) Safety shoes.
ii) Safety Helmets.
iii) Safety Goggles.
d) Never operate the machine or carry out maintenance without any proper
knowledge.

e) Fire extinguisher should be kept.


f) Clean all the electrical points to avoid spark/fire.
g) Don't wear any loose fittings.
h) Before operation of machine make sure that all points of safety have been
checked and are in order.
i) Don't try to rectify any fault during running of machine .
j) After servicing the machine check & count the tool before starting
the machine.
k) Make sure the rear of the vehicle is free from any obstacle or working personel.
I) During working make sure that the machine is not placed under high voltage.
