Which among the 17 UN SDG’s do you think is the most crucial to our country today?

Provide
at least three and explain why?
 Decent Work and Economic Growth
 No Poverty
 Zero Hunger

Among the seventeen UN SDG I chose the zero hunger, no poverty, and decent work and
economic growth as the most crucial in our country today. As I grow up there are a lot of
changes that happens in our country that creates a barrier to achieve our goals.
Decent work and economic growth, some of the Filipinos nowadays in our country
doesn’t have a stable or decent work, maybe it’s because they chose not to get a job or they
weren’t able to finish their studies and may it’s because of the standards that a company is
looking for an employee. Some companies nowadays are looking for an employee that is already
a college graduate or an employee that has a college degree even though the position is not that
high that makes it harder to get a decent job. Economic growth, this one is also crucial today
because of the inflation other business owners are having a hard time when it comes to selling
their products since some of the people are also having a hard time when it comes to buying
because of the sudden increase of prices, there are also instances that other companies buy
products from the other countries instead of buying from the Filipino farmers, because of these
the farmer are having a hard time to sell their crafts that causes difficulty to recover their
capital/income allocated for their business this makes the economic growth slower. No poverty,
the Philippines is a developing country, but because of the increase of the population and high
standards when applying to a job a lot of Filipinos doesn’t have a decent job or even a small
source of income that makes them jobless, there are times that they will blame the government
for what is happening in their life status. I am not saying that all Filipinos are like this but we
know that this kind of situation cannot be avoided, prolonged loss of income is now present in
some Filipino households because of this it causes poverty and makes the “no poverty” SDG
crucial. Because of this it also makes the Zero hunger crucial since other Filipinos they don’t
have a stable job or small source of income, other heads of the family cannot provide the basic
needs such as food for their households and that leads to hunger.

We all have different life status and that will also reflect on the SDG that our country
wants to achieve, I realized that we can stop those crucial SDG’s if we are also going to strive
harder and help ourselves, one thing that we need to do also is to find ways on how we can
surpass this kind of situation. If we are going to help ourselves to make our lives better, we can
also help our country to be better country, grow and achieve the SDG’s.
