Greetings!

The Municipal Government of Maripipi, Biliran Province is a 5th class municipality. There is an emerging
developmental progress of the island to address the basic infrastructure projects which need assistance
from national agencies and stakeholders due to limited funds from the municipality. In our vision to
develop a livable and progressive municipality, we are motivated to implement some of this projects. In
this regard, we seek favorable financial assistance from your good office for the construction of
seawall/river wall and Public Park (municipal bay walk).

Maripipi is geographically isolated disadvantage municipality. It is prone to typhoons and at this time of
climate change, level of seawater rise, therefore our priority is the constructions of seawall, it is also
very essentials to protect buildings and infrastructures near the shoreline.

Our town is one of the potential tourist destination in Eastern Visayas because of our famous Samabawan
Island, to add attraction we planned to construct Public Park (bay walk) where the proposed seawall
project is located. This will serve also as fitness activity area of our municipality such as biking, zumba,
walking, jogging, viewing the coastline, PWDs and senior citizens pasyalan.
