Method Statement for ATT Work

1. INTRODUCTION:
This method statement describes the outline procedure to be followed for Anti Termite Treatment
Work to be executed at Construction of Railway siding connectivity from Bor Khedi station to our
Project site at Nagpur.

2. SCOPE OF WORK:
The scope of work involves the following:
1. Record of OGL of existing ground level
2. Safety measures
3. Anti termite Treatment
3. REFERENCES AND STANDARD:
This document should be read in conjunction with technical specification and GFC drawings issued
from (ALL) for execution of work at site.

4. WORK PROGRAMME:
The ATT work shall be carried out in accordance with the submitted program to (ALL)

5. MATERIAL:
Material used for anti termite:
Chloropyrifos/Lindane E.C.20% with 1% concentration” shall be used for anti termite treatment.
6. MACHINERIES & EQUIPMENTS:
Hand Operated Pressure Pump shall be used in the anti termite operation

7. METHODOLOGY:
7.1 BEFORE COMMENCEMENT:
1. Study the drawing and note down areas where anti termite is to be done OR otherwise as per IS
6313 part-II (Latest revision).
2. Take prior approval from of the sample from the client.
3. Before starting the application of anti termite, inspect the material i.e check the expiry date.
4. Identify the area to be treated i.e. top surface of plinth filling, junction of wall and floor,
external perimeter of building, soil surrounding pipes, expansion joints etc.

7.2 SITE PREPARATION:

1 Remove stumps, logs or roots from identified area.
2 All subfloor leveling and grading should be completed.
3 All cutting, trenches and excavation should be completed with backfilling in place, borrowed
filled must be free from debris and should be compacted.

7.3 TREATMENT FOR RCC FOUNDATION AND BASEMENT:

1. As per Clause no 7.3.1 of IS 6313 Part 2.

7.4 TREATMENT OF TOP SURFACE OF PLINTH FILLING:

1.As per clause no 7.4 of IS 6313 Part 2.
7.5 TREATMENT AT JUNCTION WALL AND FLOOR:
1. As per clause no 7.5 of IS 6313 Part 2.

7.6 TREATMENT AT SOIL ALONG EXTERNAL PERIMETER OF BUILDING:

8. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
1. All the activities shall be in compliance with approved quality plan.
2. Inspection test report shall be generated prior to commencement of the activity; any short fall
shall be attended at earliest.

9. GENERAL SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:

The following safety precautions shall be followed during construction.
1. All the workers shall wear proper personal protective equipment.
2. All the workers & staff personals shall be trained well in works to be executed at
height & precautionary & corrective measures to be taken for the same.
3. All the workers shall be trained and safety induction shall be imparted to them before
the commencement of work at site.
4. Safety tool box talk shall be carried out for mutual understanding of work.
5. Regular or daily check of equipment prior to use shall be carried out.
6. A competent site supervisor shall be present at all times during work.
7. All record of operator and plant certificate shall be kept on site at all the times.
8. Emergency call numbers shall be posted on site for contact in emergency.
9. Chemicals shall handel as per manufacturer’s instruction.
