BENDING MACHINE

SYNOPSIS

A hydraulic fluid power system is defined as a means of power

transmission in which relatively incompressible fluid is used as the power
transmitting media. The primary purpose of hydraulic system is the transfer of
energy from one location to another location and this energy into useful work.
In this project fabricated model of Hydraulic rod bending machine
will describe the working principles as well as hydraulic machines application and
its advantages. Metal forming can be defined as a process in which the desired and
shape are obtained through the deformation of metals plastically under the action
of externally applied force. The type of drive depends upon the length of the stroke
needed and loaded on the ram. In this project we have selected applied to the
hydraulic force for the shearing.
The Hydraulic drive is used when a very heavy pressures is required on the ram
this is used for drawing and forming operation .System pressure can be generated
in the form of any physical action which result a compression over the Hydraulic
system.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

Sheet cutting machine hydraulic type is used to cut the sheets into two
pieces by hydraulic power, there is no need of human effect for this
machine .This machine has bottom blade and top blade, where bottom
 blade is fixed one and top blade is moved by a hydraulic
cylinder ,remaining structures are made of forged steel and cutting
blades are made of high carbon steel .

Our project has the following objectives

1. The process uses low- cost energy source

2. Large machines frames are not required on the process

3. Intricate shapes on material of low form ability can be worked fairly easily.

With these features, we sincerely hope that our project serve as a valuable project.

Advantage
1) We Can shear the maximum thickness sheets through this machine.
2) During job is hold between center the pressure is constant
3) We get high pressure when job is hold between centers, so we get
high stability
4) Quick operation
Disadvantage
1. Generally hydraulic component cost is high
2. Minor leakage is unavoidable.
