Plan of investegation

From my group theme Adolescence, I have chosen to research. The topic: How does Peer
Pressure affect the Mental Health of Adolescents? I have chosen this topic because I have seen
this affecting young people in my community and would like to understand how they feel.
Meetings with my group members will be used to discuss the information and materials
apprehended and how they will be used best in completing this research.

I intend on using secondary sources such as magazine, and newspaper articles to gather
relevant information. I am certain my skills in comprehending, analyzing and collecting data will
be improved. Peer pressure does have a negative effect on adolescents that are involved but
may be prevented.

I expect that there will be factors that may hinder the smooth process of this research. Three
such factors are propaganda, bandwagonism and hasty generalization. I will minimize the use of
bandwagonism by making sure the information is from credible sources.
