wants to improve further the items for next year’s use. Calculate a quality index
that can be used using the given data and indicate the possible revision needed by
some items.

Write your evaluation on the following aspect of the item:

a. Difficulty – the difficulty of the items is poor, the value of difficulty index is
0.17 which is need to improve by revising the item.

b. Discriminating power of the item- it is positively discriminating item because

the proportion of high scoring group is greater than the low scoring group.

c. Plausibility of Opinions- to have a plausible opinion, we could ask the student

to read or review the item so that we could know their impressions, comments
and reactions during the test event.
d. Ambiguity of the Answer- in this item there are 10 students who got the right
answer and 20 students who got it wrong. This only shows that the item could
give any confusion to the students.
