Research Design

The researcher utilized 2 types of research design to use on determining the significant
difference between the current system that has been using by NSTP Department contrast to the
System that the researcher will be developed. The first is descriptive that focuses on describing
the events or people methodically. In addition to that this research method is beneficial for
tackling a given problem or topic before answering the why, how, when, where questions that
connect to the study (McCombes, 2022). The second type of research design that the
researcher will use is Designs for developmental research look at how people develop over time
and how things remain the same. The fundamental components of development research
designs are chronological age, cohort membership, and time of assessment (Baird, 2019). The
research design that will help the researchers understand and describe the changes in behavior
of the user in using the will be developed monitoring and inventory system.
The research instrument involved in this study is a survey questionnaire. McLeod (2018) stated
that this survey tool is a research tool made up of several questions meant to collect data from
respondents. He added that this tool is reliable in terms of gathering numerous responses from
a large sample of respondents. To bring out the needed data, the survey questionnaire will be
distributed appropriately to the respondents. The researchers will make sure that the information
and data that is provided by them is given a consent and will make sure that the information
they gave is secure and confidential. The researcher also used Unstructured interview.
Unstructured interviews, according to McLeod (1970) are a data collecting technique where the
questions or the sequence in which they are asked are not predefined. Instead, to move the
interview forward and get in-depth information on the study topic, the interviewer asks open-
ended questions and depends on the participants' responses.
The researcher come up with 2 sampling technique. The initial sampling that the researcher will
going to use is Cluster sampling. Cluster sampling is a way of taking a representative sample
from a population that has been separated into groups by researchers. A cluster is a subset that
reflects the variety of the entire population, and a set of clusters are groups that are like one
another. It is a cost-saving strategy that is frequently used by academics when researching
sizable, geographically distributed populations. (Frost, 2022). Using this sampling technique, it
will allow the researchers to gather data from a broad range of populations. Moreover, to
minimize sample the researcher used Systematic Sampling. As reported by Frost (2022), that
Systematic Sampling is a technique for selecting a representative sample from a population
using probability sampling. This approach involves starting at a random location and randomly
choosing nth members of the population as subjects at regular intervals. Using this technique, it
will allow the researchers to minimize the chance for getting biased data and will be able to
bring out the desire result and knowledge that will help the study to be successful.
