NEW DREAMS FOR 21ST CENTURY BOYS AND GIRLS

Are teenagers more interested now in being famous than to have a current job? Well, I am here to
write to your magazine and argue about that.

We all know that there is a gender gap in terms of choising a profession for the teenagers.
According to some researchers nowdays a significant number of boys want to be
football/basketball players or famous youtubers. By the contrary, girls want to be models or singers.
So we can see that our fight for gender gap is not effective.

For that reason it is essential to help children to overcame gender stereotypes. Not only is it
necesssary to teach childrem to acept all identities, but also to experiment with non traditional roles.
For example they will learn that men can help with households and women can fixed fused bulbs.

It is believed than now children´s aspiration and values have changed. Moreover, not all the
children find interesting to work in an office or at school..etc.On the other hand, they find
stimulating to work as a football player, youtuber , model or singer, as I have mentioned before.
And the reason is that now they are more focus on feeling new experiences and earning money
easily than to work hard to get it.

Finally, it is supposed than good role have changed for children and now there are new good role
models for children such as to be a celebrity or famous on TV or on the Internet so if they worked
in an office or at a hospital, they would not feel fullfilled with their life.

It is boiled down to this: children have changed their opinions according to our times so adult
people should take into consideraton to support them.
