HARMFUL EFFECTS OF TECHNOLOGY USE CHILDREN

The rise of technology not only reaches adults but also children and they become
computer experts at their young age. Children advance by leaps and bounds as their
readiness for the future grows. In the wake of this technological boom there is concern
about how it will affect child development because previous generations never had this
kind of constant technological immersion. For this reason, some experts are beginning to
look at what overuse of technology can do to child development.

The immediacy of technological interactions makes waiting more difficult for

children. With technology, they are not forced to wait and can get what they want without
getting bored because they always have something to keep them entertained. By turning on
the screens, children can have their television program immediately, this causes them to
have less attention and can easily be distracted from the things they are doing.

Children who spend more time with their phones, tablets or video games do not
have time to do physical activity because they are static and their body does not move. As
a result, you get childhood obesity in kids who don't spend as much time running or
playing.

With so much more time spent on technology, kids don't socialize or make friends
having trouble in face-to-face interactions with other people. Many prefer to talk on
messages or video calls instead of talking in person. Even when kids spend time together,
they may spend more time texting or on their phones than they do together.

Finally, I believe that technology is advancing by leaps and bounds and no one
escapes from knowing it, not even the smallest, but its development must be taken care of,
not exposing them to these artifacts that often cause damage. It should go back to the
previous years, where you could see children in the streets playing or interacting with
others enjoying their childhood. In addition, talks for parents should come up with in
schools where these issues are discussed
