 The current production of Hutti Gold mine is around 2.500 tonnes of gold
 The current gold ore extraction of hutti mines is around 6 lakh tonne per
annum
 The grade of gold produced is around 5.7 (Gold metal / tonne of ore)
 Hutti Gold mines limited is the only gold ore extraction mine in the country

Sampling equipments:
Automatic riffle samplers are used in three places namely
1. Sag mill discharge
2. Classifier (Hydro cyclone) (Gold content feeded into loading circuit)
3. Tailing
Generally the sample is collected for every 20 min
In 2000 tonnes of ore, a sample of 150 kg is taken for analysis

Sample preparation:
Crushing unit:
Ore is brought in to the crushing circuit through surface ore-bin of about 200 tonnes
capacity equipped with chain feeder and inclined conveyor belt
ROM is crushed to -10 mm size in three stages.
 In the first stage there are 3 Kue Ken Jaw crushers, which act as primary
crusher
 In the second stage 2 Nos. of 3' standard symon cone crusher act as
secondary crusher
 In the tertiary stage, there are 2 nos. of 3' short head and 2 nos. of 4' short
head symon cone crushers.
 These crushers are in close circuit with vibrating screen. Crushed product is
stored in a fine ore bin of 1500 tons capacity before feeding to grinding plant.
Grinding & Milling unit:
The milling/Grinding process of gold ore in Hutti employs two distinct grinding
techniques.
In the first technique grinding is done in two stages
 One pulveriser and 3 secondary tube mills constitute one stream of grinding.

In the second technique

 Single stage grinding is done in 4 independent ball mills in close circuit with
cyclone classification system.

Lab fire assay equipments:

 They are using cupellation furnace running on oil and gas
 They are currently using 3 cupellation furnaces with the capacity of 40 cuples
 The furnace deployed currently is being used for more than 60 years

Problems related to equipment:

In automatic sampling machine the rifflers which does the operation of cutting are
worn out

Equipments needed by Hutti Gold minesin the near future:

The clay lining for cusables are made in-house and they are burnt in the controlled
temperature of 200 – 1200’c
Currently they are using oil and gas furnace for this operation
They are in need of electric furnace for this operation
Hutti wants FLSmidth to suggest furnace to perform these operations

Life of equipments:
The average life of sample preparation equipments like jaw crusher, pulverizer, ball
mills varies between 5-7 years
