1.) Explain the difference between designing processes for manufactured goods and services.
How should the design of service processes be approached?

- Service-providing operations facilitate simultaneous production and


consumption of services. While manufacturing operations focus on producing
goods and storing them at a warehouse before delivering them to customers,
The Service Design is a human-centered approach that focuses on customer
experience and the quality of service encounter as this was the key value for
success. Service Design is a holistic approach, which considers in a good way
strategic, process and touchpoint design decisions.

2.) Design your own process for the following and discuss ways in which both quality and
cycle time might be improved.

A.) Preparing for an exam

For an exam preparation the things that I considered to be the process


is first, I must prepare myself for me to get ready in the exam whereas,
studying what would be the possible questions.
All the materials needed should be prepared, ballpeen and notebook.
Go to the place where you have assurance that there is a stable
connection.

B.) Planning a vacation

When planning to have a vacation, you, yourself should be first ready


in financial matter.
Inform people who are interested and surely can go to a vacation plan.
Set the date and plan for everything.
C.) Making breakfast for your family

For making a breakfast I should know what would be the possible recipe.
Buy all the ingredients needed.
Cook the food and serve it to the family and eat together.
