Reflective essay of a course

English grammar is quite diverse and complex. Learners when learning this
content find it difficult to remember, difficult to learn, especially in applying it
depending on the context so that it is flexible and reasonable. Learning English
grammar I will have to face many complicated rules, difficult to remember, not
to mention the items that are out of the rules. But after a while of trying to study
and absorb the knowledge of the lecturer in the class, I was able to partially
understand the huge amount of knowledge of the subject. But besides that, I still
find it difficult to understand some parts of the lesson especially about verbs and
phrasal verbs. They are difficult for me because Not only is the "confusion"
between intransitive and transitive verbs, but phrasal verbs are also extremely
variable in semantics. For the most part, we can guess the meaning of phrasal
verbs in English from the verb stem, however, there will be exceptions to
common expressions. So when I learn about verbs and phrasal verbs later, I
often confuse these words with other words. But besides that, there are also
some simple parts that I really enjoy learning that are nouns and noun phrases.
Not because it's little knowledge or easy to remember but because it has a clear
structure that makes it easy for me to learn the knowledge related to those
sections. During the time of studying English grammar to develop my skills, I
tried to grasp basic English grammar so that I could delve into more complex
issues. The second is to study while practicing and the last thing is to practice
writing skills. Besides, I also overcome vocabulary problems and practice skills:
Listening-speaking-reading-writing. The 3 challenges that I face when learning
English grammar are: First, the class time is short, second, there is no
environment to practice much, and finally, the amount of knowledge is too
much. However, it is a difficult, dry and boring subject, but it has also helped
me a lot in my present life and perhaps in the future. For example, now, after
learning about the subject, I can confidently pass the exams even though the
score is not so excellent and I can also use the correct grammatical structure
when communicating with other students. others. In the future, I think this
knowledge will help me in finding a job and imparting knowledge in the right
way. If I had one piece of advice for a friend about to learn English grammar, I
would just tell you:
First: Making a grammar mistake doesn't mean you can't speak English
Second: Never be self-deprecating when speaking
Third: Stop thinking in Vietnamese
Wednesday: Learn idioms, collocations and phrasal verbs
Fifth: You need to have vocabulary
Finally: Should find love in learning
Above are all my thoughts on English grammar. Hopefully this will be a subject
that will make many of you feel excited when learning about them.
