II. Guidelines for Community-based Ecotourism Development

These guidelines for community-based ecotourism guidelines are set by WWF (2001). In
addition to outlining some practical considerations for community-based ecotourism, these guidelines
establish certain broad concepts. Twelve guidelines are presented in total. These have been classified
four sections dealing with various stages of community-based ecotourism initiatives.
