What Happened to Nokia?

Putting up a business is a risky move that every businessman must consider

their critical moves and decisions within the inevitable changes of the global
environment and deal with plenty of competitors. The world has been served by Nokia
and has been stable and successful over years. It was a great history and beginning for
Nokia to offer a great service for mobile phones and become the world's largest mobile
phone brand. A nightmare has come and it looks like it was due to complacency that
caused them to be unable to see future events that were possible to cause their
downfall, poor decision making, and the organization’s transition from stable to
dysfunctional.

Being the top and best brand is a risky event, and they must consider the
prediction of competitors’ next move by innovating. Innovating and being open to new
ideas prevents downfall, and it is important to always come up with the new ideas that
might come from prospects, hardware staff, stakeholders, and so on. In other words,
they must be capable of predicting future events because they are involved in
uncontrollable and inevitable changes in the world, such as trends, buying behavior,
and external and internal business environments. Since it was stable over years and
made them complacent, they were unable to innovate and improve customer feedback,
showing a lack of customer-oriented.

There is complacency on their part that they refused to change and did not try to
improve the other aspects of mobile phones, such as software. Being a stable business
is also very alarming because all competitors' eyes are on you, and you have to
consider your staff and researchers, who are capable of coming up with ideas that
connect with customers' desires and satisfaction. We all know that customers always
want something new.

As previously stated, running a large mobile phone brand is risky, and every
action you take has an impact on the business. Nokia appears to lack flexibility and
adaptability, as they struggle to make decisions when a crisis arises. The more stable
your business is, the more you should worry about how to keep your brand at its best.
Since Nokia clearly distinguishes their stability, it is undeniable that they have been
complacent during their shine.
