PROPOSED RESEARCH TITLE #1:

AWARENESS ON HALAL FOOD PRODUCTS OF MSU- MSHS STUDENTS DURING

THE SCHOOL YEAR 2022-2023

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEMS (SOP):

This research study aimed to know the awareness of MSU-MSHS Muslim

students on halal food products. Specifically, it sought to answer the following

questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.1 sex,

1.2 age,

1.3 father’s occupation, and

1.4 mother’s occupation

2. What is the level of awareness of the students of MSHS on the halal food

products?
 3. Are the students of MSU-MSHS aware on the halal food products using

E-numbers?

4. Is there a significant relationship between the MSU-MSHS students’

awareness and their demographic profile?

5. Is there a significant relationship between the MSU-MSHS students’ halal

awareness and the following:

a. understanding halal;

b. religious belief;

c. health reason;

d. halal logo certification awareness; and

e. exposure to halal information?

BRIEF IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY:

The primary purpose of the study was to determine the level of awareness of the

MSU-MSHS Muslim consumers on the halal or haram food products. This study would

specifically be significant to this group of individuals:

Students. The students from MSU-MSHS will serve as the respondents in this

study. And the result of the study, whether positive or negative, can help students to

avoid consuming foods that are haram.

Science Teachers. The result of this study can make the science teachers be

mindful of it and advocate their students about the Halal and Haram food additives.
 Parents. If the result of this study is negative, the parents can warn their children

to avoid purchasing food products that may contain Haram food additives as well as

educate them about it.

Vendors. The result of this study can help vendors to avoid purchasing and

selling food products that are haram. Moreover, they can also warn their customers

about the haram and halal food additives.

Consumers. The result of this study can prevent consumers from buying and

consuming food products that contain haram food additives.

Manufacturers. The result of this study can be useful for the manufacturers to

be mindful of the food additives that they use, especially if their target consumers are

Muslims.

Local Government Unit. The result of this study can be important for the local

government unit so that they can implement seminars and programs on the halal status

of food products.

Future researchers. The findings of the study will serve as a foundation for

other researchers interested in the same field of study.

PROPOSED RESEARCH TITLE #2:

UNPLANNED POWER INTERRUPTIONS: ITS REPERCUSSIONS ON PRINTING

SHOPS IN MSU-MAIN CAMPUS, MARAWI CITY

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEMS (SOP):

This study will be conducted to find out the impact of unplanned power

interruptions on printing shops in MSU Main Campus, Marawi City. Specifically, this

study aims to answer the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the printing shop and the respondent in

terms of;

1.1 Name of the respondent (optional)

1.2 Work position of the respondent

1.3 Name of the printing shop (optional)

1.4 Type of ownership

1.5 Number of years in operation

2. What is the frequency of the occurrence of unplanned power interruptions in

MSU Main Campus, Marawi City?

3. What are the impacts of unplanned power interruptions on printing shops in

MSU Main Campus, Marawi City in terms of;

2.1 Sales

2.2 Productivity
 2.3 Equipment

4. How massive is the impact of unplanned power interruptions on the printing

shops in MSU Main Campus, Marawi City?

BRIEF IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY:

Printing Shop Owners. Findings in our study can be used as a guide to

businessmen that would want to try and start a printing shop business in MSU-Main
Campus, Marawi City.

Customers. The study’s result will put an advantage to the customers to take
action in advance on their activities particularly in printing important files.

Lasureco. This study will provide information to the workers on how obligatory it
is to give advance notice to the community about the power interruption.

Future researchers. The findings of the study will serve as a foundation for

other researchers interested in the same field of the study.

PROPOSED RESEARCH TITLE #3:

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MATHEMATICAL SKILLS AND ACCOUNTING

PROFICIENCY OF THE FRESHMEN ACCOUNTING STUDENTS IN MSU-MAIN

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEMS (SOP):

This study generally aims to determine the relationship between mathematical

skills and the level of accounting proficiency of the accounting students in MSU-Main.
This study also wants to determine if the mathematical skills of accounting students
really affect their accounting proficiency level. Specifically, the study will answer the
following questions:

1. What is the level of mathematical skills of accounting students in terms of;

1.1 Arithmetic;
1.2 Percentages and Proportion, and;
1.3 Algebra;
2. What is the level of accounting proficiency of accounting students in terms of;

2.1 Final average in Accounting 101 subject

3. Is there a significant difference on the level of accounting proficiency of

accounting students when analyzed by gender?

4. Is there a significant relationship between the mathematical skills and the

accounting proficiency of the accounting students?

BRIEF IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY:

Faculty. The study's results will make the faculty members provided with
information, thus, they will be able to hone and enhance the student’s mathematical
skills effectively if the alternative hypothesis is proven right.

Students. The result of the study will let the students find out if they can
comfortably pursue a degree of Accountancy if they possess little or no background
knowledge in mathematics.
 Future researchers. The findings of the study will serve as a foundation for

other researchers interested in the same field of study.
