Essay number 4: Climate change.

Good morning, our team is integrated by three students, they are: Álvaro, Angelina and me, Giordano. The
topic we have chosen is The Climate Change. In this essay we are going to explain why this problem is the
biggest menace to the human race on our planet nowadays. Before starting we should take into account
the concept of Climate Change, in the narrow sense of the concept climate change refers to a long-term
shift in the Earth´s climatic systems produced by global warming. This environmental problem may be
produced by natural events such as: (Variations in the Solar Cycle and the Volcanic Activity) or by human
activities which have been the main driver of this problem since the first Industrial Revolution.

It is important to highlight the terrible effect that has these changes bring about to the Earth and
consequently to the biodiversity. Many species of animals and plants have disappeared or are in danger of
extinction. Not less important is the fact of the intense conditions provoked by these changes like drought,
storms, heat waves, glaciers melting; ocean warming, and many other events that bring with it the loss of
life on Earth.

The question is what can we do to fix the situation? Well, In my opinion we can take some measures to
reduce the global carbon emissions for instance switching energy systems from fossil fuels to renewable
like solar or wind energy. We can also cooperate in our community adding some simple activities to our
daily routine like to turn off the electronic devices, plant some trees and use less hot water and recycle our
garbage. As a conclusion we think that it is important to take care of the environment because If we do not
do this now, later it will be so late.
