‘Nathan’s Homework’
Noreen Gay P. Castillo

Nathan is a grade six pupil of F. Bustamante Central Elementary School. His teachers gave him a homework
to answer. So, upon arriving home he immediately went to his mom and asked her to help him answer his
homework.
“Mommy I have homework to do and there are many questions to answer in my English, Science and Araling
Panlipunan subjects.” Nathan said.
“What is it all about?” asked his mom.
“In English, my teacher gave me a story to research and read, it’s about ‘The Life Story of Helen Keller.’ Who
is she mom?” Nathan asked.
“I do not know the specific details of Helen Keller’s life but what I know is wecan search your assignment
using your cellphone since your sister is still using my computer,” answered mom.
“How about your Science and Araling Panlipunan?” mom asked. “It is about the circulatory system and the
16th president of the Philippines,” Nathan answered.
“Okay then, we can search through the google site and check the URL address to verify if it is true. Other
information published in the internet might be fake or incorrect,” told mom.
“So, do you want a perfect score?” asked mom. “You better check the author, the date published and other
sources to verify its correctness,” added mom.
“Oh, my goodness! I thought all information in the internet are true. Thank God I have a mom like you who
does not only love posting photos on Facebook but also knows how to use the internet correctly,” exclaimed Nathan.
“Thanks mom. You’re the best!” he added.
