Beauty pageants nowadays are entertaining for people, and beneficial for us women,
because it helps us boost our confidence and experience. but the main factor of
being in beauty pageants is you get the opportunity to speak, to educate people with
your answers in q&as, to show everyone your advocacy, to speak in front of many
people with their ears on you, to have the title, and having the title gives you the

something from it. not just entertainment, but also knowledge

2. As a candidate for the Miss SAGA 2023, you are given the voice to speak and you have
the ears of the people watching. The question is, what is your opinion about beauty
standards? Does it help women or does it harm them?

Having the voice to speak, ears of people, and the opportunity to talk about this topic
is such an honor for me. I am a candidate, I am in a beauty pageant, I am chosen
because of my looks. But talking about beauty standards, it is true that when a
woman creates a new version of herself based on beauty standards gives her
confidence. But that doesn't mean beauty standards help women. beauty standards
are used to criticize women based on their appearance. it causes women to change
their appearance like starve themselves, use risky procedures, take dangerous pills
just to change their looks. my message to all women out there, you guys are
beautiful. The beauty standards are just standards made by the judgmental society
and being out of the beauty standards doesn't mean you're ugly. We are all beautiful
in our own ways. Thank you!

3. If you could change something about yourself, what would that be, and why?

If I could change something about myself, I wouldn't change anything because I

can't change myself. I am not perfect, and I'm okay with that because I'm just a
human like you. I’m okay with making more mistakes because that’s how I learn
from your mistakes. I am the way I am. I can't change myself, but I can improve
myself and grow.

4. What's been the most picture perfect moment in your life, and why?
We haven't seen my mama for almost 7 years, and my papa just came back here to
the Philippines last year. So, the most perfect pictures in my life were taken when my
mom was still here in the Philippines. because that is the time that our family was
complete. Life isn’t perfect. It has flaws, problems, and struggles. But the bond and
love we make for perfect moments that make us smile from the heart.

5. What's the most regretful thing that you have done? and what did you learn from it?

I have no regrets because if I hadn't made my mistakes before, I wouldn't have

learned. I may not have been good for other people, but because of them, I have
learned a lesson from those people, and I have learned from my mistakes.

6. Given your age now, what is the toughest decision you've made in your life?

I am 16 years old and My toughest decision was to step out of my comfort zone,
because when I was in my comfort zone, everything was easy and convenient. But I
know that there will be no growth for me if I don't challenge myself and put myself at
risk. I chose to grow independently, and that was the toughest and most wonderful
decision I've made.

7. What will you do in your time as Ms. SAGA, and how will you apply it to your life?

a platform and to educate people about a certain issue or topic. As Miss Saga, I will
use my voice to speak for the people with no voice and to influence people to do the
right things, say the right words, and think about healthy things. As a woman with
the title of Miss Saga, I will use my power to help people, especially my co-women, be
strong and fight for their own rights as women against discrimination and battles.
